Star Trek First Look
Below is a couple of minutes of the accompanying interview, where Abrams sets up the still – because, let's be honest, that's what it is really – of Zachary Quinto's Spock in a special Prometheus-style "crazy suit", in a volcano. That's right, a Vulcan in a volcano. Why is he in a volcano? Abrams doesn't say. Is this all just a massive gag and these three frames won't actually appear in the film? Abrams also doesn't say.

Star Trek Into Darkness
Paramount Pictures has confirmed the title of the upcoming Star Trek movie. Paramount has confirmed "Star Trek Into Darkness" as the official title of J.J. Abrams' upcoming sequel, corroborating the rumor that broke late last week. The long-awaited follow-up will see the return of stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg and John Cho, while Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock"), Alice Eve ("Men in Black 3"), Noel Clarke ("Doctor Who") and Peter Weller ("Robocop") are among the new faces in the cast.
The sequel is currently in post-production.

Star Trek 2013
The next Untitled Star Trek film is a sequel to 2009's Star Trek, directed by J. J. Abrams. The science fiction action film is currently untitled, and began filming in January 2012, with a scheduled release date of May 17, 2013. Chris Pine will return as Captain James Tiberius Kirk with Zachary Quinto as Spock. Actress Alice Eve has signed on for a role and so has Peter Weller. Actor Noel Clarke has signed up for an unknown role, but it is reported to be 'a family man with a wife and young daughter. On January 4, 2012, it was reported by Variety Magazine that English actor Benedict Cumberbatch had been approached for the role of the villain in the film.

Bruce Greenwood is returning to the role of Admiral Christopher Pike for the 2013 Star Trek sequel. The actor was at the Saturn Awards last night and tried to stay within the confines of the film’s secrecy but did say some thigns about sets, the mood on the set and more. Greenwood spoke about his time in the Star Trek sequel, including the "great vibe" on the set. Greenwood also noted that "very little was green screen" and much more was done with practical effects for the sequel.
